Waitakere City FC

Club History

The Waitakere City Football Club was formed to compete in the National League in 1989, as a composite team involving clubs from West Auckland.
In 1991, Waitakere City moved from their Western Springs headquarters, following an amalgamation with Massey AFC (formed in 1976), to the current facilities at Fred Taylor Park, located in Whenuapai.
Since this time, Waitakere City has established itself as one of the top teams in the country, both in terms of results and entertainment value.
